Kitchens By Lynn

When the pandemic was making it impossible for Lynn Macaulay to meet with customers in her kitchen design showroom, she decided to hit the road — literally.

“I changed the scope of my business, bought a van, and turned it into a mobile showroom,” says the owner of Kitchens by Lynn in Bedford. “Now I can take my samples on the road with me and meet with clients anywhere.”

As a designer, Lynn was a little nervous about how to best express the Kitchens by Lynn brand in an automotive format. She wanted to make sure her custom vehicle wrap perfectly reflected who she is and what her kitchen design business is all about — and together with the United Sign/Trim-Line team, they nailed it.

“The one thing I hear all the time is ‘That van is so you!’” says Lynn. “It’s really cute, and people always notice it. I get honks all the time because people see me and know me. It really stands out.”

While Lynn continues to meet with some clients in a shared showroom space, she spends most of her time zipping around the city in her Kitchens by Lynn branded vehicle — meeting clients at their home or a coffee shop, armed with all the kitchen samples they need to review.

She says she’s very pleased to have partnered with United Sign/Trim-Line team to design her mobile studio, praising the Halifax sign team for being “so patient and professional” from the first meeting through to the exciting installation.

“It felt like a team effort right from the start, and I could feel it was just as important to them to get it right as it was to me,” says Lynn. “I consider the van wrap to be a great investment in my business. It’s been awesome.”
